In support of the government’s announcement on Sunday 22nd March, we’re now closing all three of our self-catering lodges from Monday 23rd March until further notice. Within the next 24hrs, we shall notify all guests who are booked to stay with us up to the end of June 2020.
It’s the right thing to do to stop the virus spreading, and to protect our NHS, but heart-breaking for everyone involved.
A statement was given by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon at the media briefing today, 22 March. The statement included the message:
“To our hotels, B&Bs and self-catering accommodation – you should not be accepting visitors. Provide accommodation for your staff and make yourselves available to help essential workers and support essential services – that is all.
“Scotland is a warm and welcoming country and I fervently hope it’s not too long before we are opening our arms and our countryside to visitors again – but right now our priority must be to protect people from this virus, protect our NHS and protect Scotland.”
For guests who have booked and are impacted by this change, we will be in touch about next steps and our cancellation policy.
We just wanted to thank you on behalf of the family and our team for continuing to support us and we’ll re-open just as soon as we can when society returns to normal.
When that time comes, the family and team will be right here and ready with a warm welcome.
Stay safe x
