We are absolutely delighted to share some exciting news – we have been named a finalist for the AgriScot Scottish Diversified Farm of the Year Award.
For our family and team, being recognised is a very proud moment. It celebrates a journey that has seen Lindores develop from its traditional farming roots into a diverse rural business, combining a working farm with luxury accommodation, events and countryside experiences here in Fife.
Farm Diversification At Lindores
At its heart, Lindores is a working Scottish farm, and farming continues to shape everything we do. Over the years, however, we have looked for new ways to make the farm sustainable and resilient for future generations. That has meant thinking creatively about our land, buildings and location and finding opportunities that complement, rather than replace, the farming business.
Our luxury farm accommodation gives guests the opportunity to escape to the Fife countryside and experience life in a beautiful rural setting. Whether visiting for a relaxing break, an event or simply to explore this part of Scotland, staying at Lindores offers something very different from a conventional hotel or holiday rental.

Growing Agritourism In Fife
Farm stays and agritourism in Scotland offer a fantastic way to connect visitors with the countryside. For us, diversification has always been about making the most of what we have at Lindores while creating experiences that feel authentic to the farm.
Each element of the business is different, but they all share the same setting and the same connection to the land. That development has happened gradually, with plenty of hard work, learning and new ideas along the way. We have restored and repurposed spaces, developed our accommodation and continually looked for ways to improve the experience for the people who visit us.
What Being An AgriScot Finalist Means To Us
The AgriScot Scottish Diversified Farm of the Year Award celebrates farming businesses that have successfully developed opportunities beyond their core agricultural enterprises.
Being selected as a finalist therefore means a great deal to us. It is recognition of the work that has gone into building a diversified farm business while keeping farming and the character of Lindores firmly at its heart.
Most importantly, it is recognition of a team effort. From our family and the team to the many local businesses, suppliers and people we work alongside, a huge number of people have played a part in our development.
And, of course, none of it would be possible without the guests, visitors and customers who choose to come here. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far.
Looking To The Future At Lindores
Farm diversification is very much about looking ahead. Our ambition is to continue developing Lindores as a sustainable rural business: supporting the working farm, creating opportunities locally and giving more people a reason to discover this beautiful part of Fife.
Being recognised for this award gives us an opportunity to stop for a moment and appreciate just how far the business has come. But there is plenty more we would still like to do!
