It’s a Dogs Fife!

Lindores love animals so your pooch is welcome for a dog holiday any day. We’ve listed a few ideas to make your dog holiday in Fife a little easier to plan.

Lindores Lodge, The Glasshouse and West Cottage are our dog friendly properties.  They have enclosed gardens so your dog can relax in the garden off the lead and watch what’s going on across the fields.  The properties are luxurious, practical and kept very clean so you’d never know a dog may have stayed, but to maintain this we ask that you don’t let the dogs jump on furniture or beds.

Ideas for out and about:

We are a working farm with sheep, cattle, game birds and horses but we are happy for you to walk your dog on a lead on our circular farm track.  The 45 minute walk can be done in part or in full to encompass Lindores Hill, grass fields, woodland, farm tracks, 360 degree countryside views and farm buildings. We do ask however that dogs remain on the lead however tempting it is to take them off it!

The Fife Coastal Path is a more enduring option and stretches 117 miles around the coast of Fife between Newburgh and Kincardine.  We suggest doing part of it from Newburgh village which is 1 mile drive away from Lindores.  It’s a moderate walk that inclines up Norman’s Law.  So do a bit of research before embarking!

If you fancied woodland dog walks then look no further than Falkland.  Falkland is beautiful, historic, safe and particularly popular for Outlander fans.  We love the Maspie Den walk then a visit to the dog friendly cafe called The Pillars of Hercules where you can sit outside with pooch and enjoy award winning organic food from Fife’s Larder.

Or splash about in Fife’s beaches, just make sure you pick up any dog foul and put it in the bin to keep our countryside clean for kids playing.
