Recently we had the pleasure of hosting a truly memorable retirement celebration here at Lindores, when Marion chose to mark this special milestone with us in The Barley House.
Marion was joined by 19 friends and family members for the occasion, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere as everyone gathered to celebrate her retirement together. Many of the guests stayed overnight in our luxury holiday homes – The Glasshouse & Lindores Lodge, making the celebration feel even more relaxed and personal, while a few additional guests arrived just for the evening dinner.
The evening began with drinks and conversation as everyone settled in and enjoyed the setting. To add something extra special to the atmosphere, a local saxophonist provided live entertainment, filling the space with smooth, uplifting music that perfectly complemented the celebration.
Chef Al Roberto hosted alongside us and worked with the group to create a bespoke menu, tailored specifically for the occasion. The result was a wonderful dining experience that brought everyone together around the table to share great food, stories and laughter. The wine for the evening was paired by Chris Fusaro from Luvians Bottle Shop.

Locally Caught Potted Crab – Confit Lime Aioli & Spiced Homegrown Lindores Barley Granola
Sea Bass Carpaccio Salad – Seasonal Foraged Citrus, Red Peppercorn & Dill Dressing
Homebred Lindores Lamb – Smoked Lentil Ragu, St Andrew’s Beer Pickled Onions & Walnut
Chef’s Sweet French Toast – Aqua Vitae Maple Syrup, Whipped Raspberry Marscapone
